<I><B>paracalathus</B></I> ([[Sarjeant, 1960a]], p.143-144, pl.6, fig.4; text-fig.3b) [[Sarjeant, 1961b]], p.1096.&nbsp; Emendation: [[Stancliffe and Sarjeant, 1990]], p.206, as <I>Polystephanephorus paracalathus</I>.&nbsp; Holotype: [[Sarjeant, 1960a]], pl.6, fig.4; text-fig.3b; [[Stancliffe and Sarjeant, 1990]], pl.2, figs.2-3,5; text-fig.2.&nbsp; Originally <I>[[Polystephanosphaera paracalatha|Polystephanosphaera]]</I>, subsequently (and now) <I>Polystephanephorus</I>, thirdly <I>[[Hystrichosphaerina paracalatha|Hystrichosphaerina]]</I>.&nbsp; [[Lentin and Williams, 1981|Lentin and Williams (1981]], p.232) retained this species in <I>Polystephanephorus</I>.&nbsp; Although [[Sarjeant, 1961b|Sarjeant (1961b]], p.1096) did not fully reference the basionym when he proposed this combination, he was clearly using zoological nomenclature, which does not require basionym citations.&nbsp; Age: Mid Callovian.
