capitatum (Cookson and Eisenack, 1960b, p.252, pl.39, fig.9) Singh, 1971, p.342. Holotype: Cookson and Eisenack, 1960b, pl.39, fig.9; Fauconnier and Masure, 2004, pl.66, fig.1. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently (and now) Prolixosphaeridium, thirdly Tenua Eisenack, fourthly Batiacasphaera. Lentin and Williams (1981, p.233) retained this species in Prolixosphaeridium. Age: Oxfordian-Kimmeridgian.
