scabratus (Wall, 1967, p.102, pl.14, figs.10-13; text-fig.2) Sarjeant, 1970, p.76. Holotype: Wall, 1967, pl.14, figs.10-13. Originally Hystrichosphaera, subsequently (and now) Spiniferites. This is a cyst equivalent of Gonyaulax spinifera (Claparède and Lachmann, 1859) Diesing, 1866, according to Dodge (1989, p.289). Age: Pleistocene-Holocene.
