The tabulation system proposed by Edwards (1990) and resulting from the labelling of the latitudinal series of plates from the cingulum towards the poles. As well as the cingular C-series, there are three series on the episome and two on the hyposome. In a polar direction, on the episome, there are the E-series, M-series and D-series; on the hyposome, there are the H-series and T-series.
