In the Taylor tabulation system, when a primary plate is subdivided longitudinally (i.e. apically-antapically), the subdivision closest to the apex is termed antero. Equivalent to vorne in the Taylor-Evitt tabulation system, which is employed herein. See also postero and medio. Designated by "a".
