In the Taylor tabulation model, when a primary plate is subdivided transversely (in an anticlockwise direction when viewed from the apex) the distal subdivision is sinister. Equivalent to ulter in the Taylor-Evitt tabulation system. See also dexter and medio. Designated by "s".
