Originally <I>Cadosina (name not validly published), subsequently Stomiosphaera (name not validly published), thirdly (and now) Committosphaera. In proposing this name, Řehánek (1985a, p.377) did not fully reference the "basionym"; however, since he was using zoological nomenclature, this was not a requirement. Age: Neocomian?.
