venustum (Klement, 1960, p.44-45, pl.5, figs.10-13; text-fig.22) Poulsen, 1996, p.76. Holotype: Klement, 1960, pl.5, figs.10-11. Originally Gonyaulax (Appendix B), subsequently Acanthogonyaulax (combination not validly published), thirdly Acanthaulax, fourthly Gonyaulacysta, fifthly (and now) Cribroperidinium. Helenes (1984, p.116) considered Gonyaulax (as and now Cribroperidinium) granulata to be the possible taxonomic senior synonym of this species. Age: Mid Oxfordian-Kimmeridgian.
