Holotype: Sarjeant, 1968, pl.3, fig.9; Eisenack and Kjellström, 1972, p.185; Davey, 1979d, pl.2, figs.7,10; Fensome et al., 1995, fig.1 - p.1673. Originally Chytroeisphaeridia, subsequently Lithodinia, thirdly (and now) Escharisphaeridia. Age: Late Callovian.
