Originally Geodia (Appendix A), subsequently Hystrichosphaeridium, thirdly (and now) Hystrichosphaeridium?. Questionable assignment: Davey and Williams (1966b, p.70); and Masure and Foucher in Fauconnier and Masure (2004, p.311-312) as a problematic species. Age: Early Cretaceous.
