Holotype: Benedek, 1972, pl.9, fig.8; Benedek and Sarjeant, 1981, fig.9, no.5. NOW Operculodinium. Originally Cordosphaeridium, subsequently (and now) Operculodinium, thirdly Lingulodinium. Age: mid-late Oligocene.
