PRAECALCIGONELLUM Keupp and Versteegh, 1989, p.211. Calcareous dinoflagellate genus. Although the "type species", Praecalcigonellum polymorphum, was not validly transferred by Keupp and Versteegh (1989, p.211), the generic name Praecalcigonellum was validly published by these authors since it is based on a previously validly published species name (I.C.B.N. Article 37.2). Type: Keupp, 1980a, pl.15, figs.7-8, as Calcigonellum polymorphum.
