Holotype: Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, pl.3, fig.2; Jan du Chêne et al., 1986a, pl.99, figs.3-4. NOW Rhynchodiniopsis. Originally Gonyaulax (Appendix B), subsequently Gonyaulacysta, thirdly Hystrichogonyaulax, fourthly (and now) Rhynchodiniopsis. Age: Late Jurassic-Neocomian.
