Holotype: Deflandre and Cookson, 1955, pl.1, fig.8; text-figs.21-22; Fauconnier and Masure, 2004, pl.60, figs.8-11. NOW Oligosphaeridium. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently (and now) Oligosphaeridium. This name was not validly published in Deflandre and Cookson (1954, p.1236), who did not provide a description. Age: Albian.
