Holotype: Marheinecke, 1986, pl.17, figs.5-6, as Hystrichosphaeridium sp.; Marheinecke, 1992, pl.11, figs.10-11; Fauconnier and Masure, 2004, pl.45, figs.4-5. Contrary to the opinion of Lentin and Williams (1993, p.334), Williams et al. (1998, p.316) considered this name to be validly published. Age: Early Maastrichtian.
