"ampla" Harland, 1973, p.673-674, pl.84, figs.1,7; text-fig.8. Holotype: Harland, 1973, pl.84, fig.1. Originally Lejeunia (generic name illegitimate), subsequently Astrocysta (combination not validly published), thirdly Palaeoperidinium. Taxonomic senior synonym: Palaeoperidinium cretaceum, according to Harker and Sarjeant in Harker et al. (1990, p.128). Following I.C.B.N. Article 55.1, the species name Lejeunia ampla is validly published even though the generic name Lejeunia is illegitimate. Age: Late Campanian.
