Originally Pithonella, subsequently Obliquipithonella, thirdly (and now) Pirumella. Taxonomic junior synonyms: Pirumella edithvincentiae, Pithonella guttula, Pithonella helentappaniae, and Pithonella oviformis, all according to Keupp (1981, p.43-44). The nomenclatural type of the genus Pirumella remains the holotype of Pirumella edithvincentiae. Age: Oxfordian-Tithonian.
