"leve" (Maier, 1959, p.308, pl.30, figs.1-2) Sarjeant, 1964a, p.176. Holotype: Maier, 1959, pl.30, fig.1; Sarjeant, 1983, pl.2, fig.3; pl.5, fig.1; text-fig.2. Originally Galea (generic name illegitimate), subsequently Baltisphaeridium, thirdly Cleistosphaeridium. Taxonomic senior synonym: Galea (now Chiropteridium) galea, according to Sarjeant (1983, p.108-109). Age: mid Oligocene-Mid Miocene.
