Name illegitimate - senior homonym: Hexasphaera Clarke and Verdier, 1967, p.42. Substitute name: Keuppisphaera. Keupp (1987, p.41) gave two additional spellings for Hexasphaera, Hexaspharae and Hexasphera. Type: Keupp, 1987, pl.6, figs.8-12, as Hexasphaera radiata.
