<nowiki>*</nowiki><I><B>calathus</B></I> ([[Sarjeant, 1961a]], p.104, pl.14, fig.7; text-fig.7) [[Sarjeant, 1961b]], p.1096.&nbsp; Emendation: [[Stancliffe and Sarjeant, 1990]], p.205, as <I>Polystephanephorus calathus</I>.&nbsp; Holotype: [[Sarjeant, 1961a]], pl.14, fig.7; text-fig.7; [[Stancliffe and Sarjeant, 1990]], pl.2, figs.1,4; text-fig.1.&nbsp; Originally <I>[[Polystephanosphaera calatha|Polystephanosphaera]]</I>, subsequently (and now) <I>Polystephanephorus</I>, thirdly <I>[[Hystrichosphaerina calatha|Hystrichosphaerina]]</I>.&nbsp; [[Lentin and Williams, 1981|Lentin and Williams (1981]], p.232) retained this species in <I>Polystephanephorus</I>.&nbsp; Although [[Sarjeant, 1961b|Sarjeant (1961b]], p.1096) did not fully reference the basionym when he proposed this combination, he was clearly using zoological nomenclature, which does not require basionym citations.&nbsp; Age: Early Oxfordian.
