In the <I>[[Edwards tabulation system]]</I>, this term denotes a <I>[[hyposome]]</I> in which there are eight <I>[[Plate|plates]]</I> in the <I>[[H-series]]</I>. The term was referred to by Edwards as the "8-model hyposome". See also <I>[[Edwards tabulation model]]</I>.
