"<I><B>subconica</B></I>" [[Lentin and Williams, 1993]], p.507.&nbsp; Holotype: [[Prauss, 1989]], pl.2, fig.3; text-fig.5.&nbsp; Originally <I>[[Phallocysta minuta]]</I> (name illegitimate), subsequently <I>Phallocysta subconica</I>.&nbsp; Substitute name for <I>[[Phallocysta minuta]]</I> [[Prauss, 1989]], p.20&ndash;21, pl.2, figs.1&ndash;4; text-fig.5 (an illegitimate name).&nbsp; <B>Taxonomic senior synonym</B>: <I>Fromea</I> (as and now <I>[[Phallocysta elongata|Phallocysta]]</I>) <I>elongata</I>, according to [[Riding, 1994|Riding (1994]], p.16).&nbsp; The name <I>[[Phallocysta minuta]]</I> is illegitimate since, in proposing it, [[Prauss, 1989|Prauss (1989]], p.20) included in synonymy the holotype of <I>Fromea elongata</I>.&nbsp; However, [[Riding et al., 1991|Riding et al. (1991]], p.153) argued that the form described by Prauss as <I>[[Phallocysta minuta]]</I> is distinct from <I>Fromea elongata</I>  Hence, [[Lentin and Williams, 1993|Lentin and Williams (1993]], p.507) proposed the name <I>Phallocysta subconica</I> to accommodate Prauss's material.&nbsp; Age: late Toarcian&ndash;early Bajocian.
