In kofoidiniaceans, the finger-like mechanism which connects the <I>[[episome]]</I> of a mature cell to the disc-like or hemispherical <I>[[extracellular dome]]</I>, which it is capable of rapidly rotating. Refer to Text-Figure 184C.
