<I><B>SELENOPEMPHIX</B></I> [[Benedek, 1972]], p.47.&nbsp; Emendations: Bujak in [[Bujak et al., 1980]], p.82; [[Head, 1993]], p.32, both as <I>Selenopemphix</I>.&nbsp; Originally (and now) <I>Selenopemphix</I>, subsequently <I>Protoperidinium</I> subgenus <I>[[Protoperidinium subgenus Protoperidinium Appendix B|Protoperidinium]]</I> section <I>Selenopemphix</I> (name not validly published).&nbsp; Taxonomic junior synonyms: <I>[[Omanodinium]]</I>, according to [[Bradford and Wall, 1984|Bradford and Wall (1984]], p.49) and [[Head, 1993|Head (1993]], p.32); <I>[[Multispinula]]</I>, according to [[Matsuoka, 1985a|Matsuoka (1985a]], p.51) and [[Head, 1993|Head (1993]], p.31&ndash;32).&nbsp; [[Head, 1993|Head (1993]], p.32) considered by implication that the acritarch genus <I>Margosphaera</I> [[Nagy, 1965]], is the possible taxonomic senior synonym of this genus.&nbsp; Type: [[Benedek, 1972]], pl.11, fig.13, as <I>[[Selenopemphix nephroides]]</I>.
