In gonyaulacaleans, a pore commonly associated with the <I>[[suture]]</I> between the fourth and first <I>[[Apical plate|apical plates]]</I> or their <I>[[Homologue|homologues]]</I> (A/1u) (Text-Figure 105A-C). In dinophysialeans, a pore here termed the ventral pore (and probably homologous with the ventral pore of gonyaulacaleans), but sometimes termed the <I>[[apical pore]]</I>, occurs on the ventral episome (Text-Figure 153B-C) or at the apex (Text-Figure 153D).
