Holotype: Wetzel, 1967a, pl.15, figs.4a–b; Dietz et al., 1999, text-fig.5a. NOW Cribroperidinium. Originally Gonyaulax (Appendix B), subsequently Gonyaulacysta, thirdly Millioudodinium, fourthly Hystrichogonyaulax, fifthly (and now) Cribroperidinium, sixthly Acanthaulax. Age: Middle Jurassic.
