Lectotype: Fauconnier and Masure, 2004, pl.31, figs.1–3, designated by Arai in Fauconnier and Masure (2004, p.246). NOW Glaphyrocysta. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Areoligera, thirdly (and now) Glaphyrocysta. Age: Maastrichtian.
