Holotype: Kunz, 1990, pl.8, figs.14a–c; text-fig.11. Originally Sentusidinium, subsequently Barbatacysta (name not validly published). Taxonomic senior synonym: Sentusidinium (now Barbatacysta) creberbarbatum, according to Courtinat in Fauconnier and Masure (2004, p.83–84). Courtinat in Fauconnier and Masure (2004) proposed this transfer while simultaneously and clearly proposing the species to be a junior synonym: he thus clearly did not accept Barbatacysta parva as a correct name. Age: late Oxfordian.
