Holotype: Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, pl.10, fig.14; Morgan, 1977, pl.1, figs.2a–b. Originally Palaeohystrichophora, subsequently Diconodinium. Taxonomic senior synonym: Palaeohystrichophora (as and now Diconodinium) multispina, according to Stover and Helby (1987a, p.103). Age: Albian–Cenomanian.
