"<I><B>sphaerocephalum</B></I>" ([[Vozzhennikova, 1967]], p.181, pl.103, figs.1a-b,2,3a-b; pl.104, figs.4,5a-b) [[Brideaux, 1977]], p.38.&nbsp; Holotype: [[Vozzhennikova, 1967]], pl.103, fig.2; [[Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990]], text-fig.55; lost according to [[Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990|Lentin and Vozzhennikova (1990]], p.98).&nbsp; Originally <I>[[Tubotuberella sphaerocephala|Tubotuberella]]</I>, subsequently <I>Dimidiadinium</I>.&nbsp; <B>Taxonomic senior synonym</B>: <I>[[Gonyaulax eisenackii Appendix B|Gonyaulax]]</I> (as and now <I>[[Gonyaulacysta eisenackii|Gonyaulacysta]]</I>) <I>[[Gonyaulax eisenackii Appendix B|eisenackii]]</I>, according to [[Sarjeant, 1982b|Sarjeant (1982b]], p.32).&nbsp; [[Brenner, 1988|Brenner (1988]], p.93) considered <I>[[Leptodinium egemenii|Leptodinium]]</I> (now <I>[[Tubotuberella egemenii|Tubotuberella]]</I>) <I>[[Leptodinium egemenii|egemenii]]</I> and <I>[[Gonyaulacysta vozzhennikovae|Gonyaulacysta]]</I> (now <I>[[Tubotuberella vozzhennikovae|Tubotuberella]]</I>) <I>[[Gonyaulacysta vozzhennikovae|vozzhennikovae]]</I>, to be questionable taxonomic junior synonyms of this species.&nbsp; According to [[Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990|Lentin and Vozzhennikova (1990]], p.98), no potential lectotype is available.&nbsp; Age: Late Jurassic.
