Holotype: Deflandre, 1937b, pl.14 (al. pl.11), figs.1–2. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Baltisphaeridium (Appendix A), thirdly Hystrichokolpoma, fourthly (and now) Florentinia, fifthly Hystrichosphaera. Lentin and Williams (1993, p.224) retained this species in Florentinia. Age: Senonian.
