[[Sarjeant, 1972|Sarjeant (1972]]) cited the epithet as "<I>strongylos</I>", the Greek adjective for rounded. Since Principle 5 of the I.C.N. states that taxon names are to be treated as Latin, this epithet should be rendered as "<I>strongyla</I>", in agreement with the feminine gender of the generic name ("<I>strongylum</I>" would be the neuter form, and "<I>strongylus</I>" the masculine form).
