Combination not validly published: basionym not fully referenced. Originally Rhombodella (Appendix A), subsequently Palaeotetradinium (combination not validly published). Taxonomic senior synonym: Palaeohystrichophora (now Rhombodella) paucispina, according to Stover and Evitt (1978, p.71). Lentin and Williams (1985, p.272) inadvertently proposed this combination. Age: Aptian–Albian.
