Originally Paranetrelytron, subsequently Pareodinia. Taxonomic senior synonym: Pareodinia ceratophora, according to Wiggins (1975, p.103). Sarjeant (1966c) cited the epithet as "strongylos", the Greek adjective for "rounded".
