<I><B>loeblichii</B></I> ([[Bolli, 1974]], p.853-854, pl.3, figs.1-4; pl.11, figs.9-12; pl.12, figs.1-3; pl.22, fig.1) [[Lentin and Williams, 1993]], p.518.&nbsp; Holotype: [[Bolli, 1974]], pl.3, figs.1-2; pl.11, figs.9-10; pl.22, fig.1.&nbsp; Originally <I>[[Pithonella loeblichii|Pithonella]]</I>, subsequently <I>[[Obliquipithonella loeblichii|Obliquipithonella]]</I>, thirdly (and now) <I>Pirumella</I>.&nbsp; Taxonomic senior synonym: <I>[[Pithonella helentappaniae]]</I>, according to [[Keupp, 1979c|Keupp (1979c]], p.23) - however, [[Keupp, 1981|Keupp (1981]], p.60) retained <I>Pirumella</I> (as <I>[[Pithonella loeblichii|Pithonella]]</I>) <I>loeblichii</I>.&nbsp; Taxonomic junior synonyms: <I>[[Pithonella bollii]]</I>, <I>[[Pithonella megalithica]]</I> and <I>[[Pithonella nonarenziae]]</I>, all according to [[Keupp, 1981|Keupp (1981]], p.60) - however, [[Z&#252;gel, 1994|Z&#252;gel (1994]], p.66) retained <I>[[Pithonella nonarenziae|Pithonella]]</I> (as <I>[[Obliquipithonella nonarenziae|Obliquipithonella]]</I>) <I>[[Pithonella nonarenziae|nonarenziae]]</I>.&nbsp; Age: ?Late Aptian-Mid Albian.
