Originally Pithonella, subsequently Obliquipithonella, thirdly Pirumella. Taxonomic senior synonym: Pithonella (now Pirumella) nonarenziae, according to Zügel (1994, p.66). Taxonomic junior synonym: Thoracosphaera thoracata, according to Keupp (1981, p.63). Age: Albian.
