"?<B><I>orbulinaria</I></B>" ([[de Lapparent, 1918]], p.20, pl.2, figs.1-part,2-part; pl.3, fig.2-part) [[Vogler, 1941]], p.283.&nbsp; Holotype: not designated.&nbsp; <B>NOW</B> <I>[[Inocardion orbulinarium|Inocardion]]</I>.&nbsp; Originally <I>[[Lagena orbulinaria Appendix A|Lagena]]</I> (Appendix A), subsequently <I>Stomiosphaera</I>, thirdly <I>[[Sphaerella orbulinaria|Sphaerella]]</I> (generic name illegitimate), fourthly <I>Stomiodinium</I>?, fifthly (and now) <I>[[Inocardion orbulinarium|Inocardion]]</I>.&nbsp; Questionable assignment: [[Dufour, 1968|Dufour (1968]], p.1948).&nbsp; Taxonomic senior synonym: <I>[[Lagena sphaerica Appendix A|Lagena]]</I> (now <I>[[Pithonella sphaerica|Pithonella]]</I>) <I>[[Lagena sphaerica Appendix A|sphaerica]]</I>, according to [[Bonet, 1956|Bonet (1956]], p.450) ) - however, [[Masters and Scott, 1978|Masters and Scott (1978]], p.215) retained this species as the type of <I>[[Inocardion orbulinarium|Inocardion]]</I>.&nbsp; In proposing this combination, [[Vogler, 1941|Vogler (1941]], p.283) gave the citation "<I>Stomiosphaera</I> cf. <I>orbulinaria</I>".&nbsp; Age: Late Cretaceous.
