Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Baltisphaeridium, thirdly (and now) Peteinosphaeridium (Appendix A). This combination was not validly published in Eisenack (1958b, p.400 and 1959, p.204) and Downie and Sarjeant (1963, p.90), since these authors did not fully reference the basionym. Age: Ordovician (erratic).
