Originally Fromea, subsequently Fromea?, thirdly Wallodinium, fourthly Palaeostomocystis (Appendix A), fifthly Andreedinium, sixthly (and now) Phallocysta. Questionable assignment: Stover and Evitt (1978, p.48). Junior homonym: Fromea elongata Jain and Millepied, 1975. Nomenclatural junior synonym: Phallocysta minuta, which see for details.
