<I><B>mensula</B></I> [[Wetzel, 1933b]], p.49-50, pl.4, fig.32 ex [[Downie and Sarjeant, 1965]], p.151.&nbsp; Holotype: [[Wetzel, 1933b]], pl.4, fig.32.&nbsp; Originally <I>[[Hystrichosphaera mensula|Hystrichosphaera]]</I> (name not validly published), subsequently <I>[[Hystrichosphaeridium mensula|Hystrichosphaeridium]]</I> (name not validly published), thirdly (and now) <I>Veryhachium</I>.&nbsp; This combination was not validly published in [[Downie and Sarjeant, 1963|Downie and Sarjeant (1963]], p.94), since these authors did not reference the "basionym".&nbsp; The name <I>[[Hystrichosphaera mensula]]</I> was not validly published in [[Wetzel, 1933b|Wetzel (1933b]]) since the generic name <I>[[Hystrichosphaera mensula|Hystrichosphaera]]</I> was not validly published until 1937.&nbsp; N.I.A.&nbsp; Age: Late Cretaceous.
