Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Baltisphaeridium (Appendix A), thirdly Hystrichokolpoma, fourthly (and now) Achilleodinium, fifthly Florentinia. Lentin and Williams (1981, p.2) retained this species in Achilleodinium. Age: late Eocene–early Oligocene.
