Citation: Cachonellaceae Silva, 1980b. Diagnosis:Blastodinialeans in which there are two or more successive, independent vegetative cyst stages. The parasitic stage is attached and only initially, if at all, does it resemble a typical dinoflagellate. Sporogenesis is by palintomy. Cachonella Rose and J. Cachon, 1952. Cachonella Rose and J.
