Taxonomic senior synonym: Pseudoceratium, according to Bint (1986, p.144) — however, Quattrocchio and Sarjeant (1992, p.2–234) retained Aptea. Taxonomic junior synonym: Doidyx, according to Sarjeant and Stover (1978, p.51). Type: Eisenack, 1958a, pl.22, fig.5, as Aptea polymorpha.
