(1969]], p.16).&nbsp; Taxonomic junior synonym: <I>Hystrichosphaeridium</I> (as <I>[[Exochosphaeridium palmatum|Exochosphaeridium]]</I>?) <I>palmatum</I>, according to [[Yun Hyesu, 1981|Yun Hyesu (1981]], p.29).&nbsp; [[Ziaja, 1989|Ziaja (1989]], p.214) considered <I>[[Exochosphaeridium muelleri]]</I> to be a questionable taxonomic junior synonym of this species.&nbsp; This combination was not validly published in [[Davey et al., 1966|Davey et al. (1966]], p.166), since these authors did not fully reference the basionym.&nbsp; Age: Late Cretaceous.
