Originally Cyclonephelium, subsequently Glaphyrocysta?, thirdly (and now) Glaphyrocysta. Questionable assignment: Stover and Evitt (1978, p.50) — however, Michoux and Soncini in Fauconnier and Masure (2004, p.249) retained this species in Glaphyrocysta without question. Age: early-middle Eocene.
