"<I><B>polymorpha</B></I>" ([[Malloy, 1972]], p.63-64, pl.1, figs.8-16,21) [[Lentin and Williams, 1976]], p.50.&nbsp; Holotype: [[Malloy, 1972]], pl.1, fig.15.&nbsp; <B>Combination illegitimate</B>: the generic name <I>Alterbia</I> is illegitimate.&nbsp; <B>NOW</B> <I>[[Andalusiella polymorpha|Andalusiella]]</I>.&nbsp; Originally <I>[[Svalbardella polymorpha|Svalbardella]]</I>, subsequently <I>Alterbia</I> (combination illegitimate), thirdly (and now) <I>[[Andalusiella polymorpha|Andalusiella]]</I>.&nbsp; Taxonomic junior synonyms: <I>[[Palaeocystodinium microgranulatum]]</I>, according to [[Lentin and Williams, 1976|Lentin and Williams (1976]], p.89); <I>[[Senegalinium trisinum]]</I>, according to [[Lentin and Williams, 1976|Lentin and Williams (1976]], p.164); <I>[[Palaeocystodinium punctatum]]</I>, according to [[Lentin and Williams, 1976|Lentin and Williams (1976]], p.89) - however,  [[Schrank, 1987|Schrank (1987]], p.265) retained that taxon as the subspecies <I>[[Andalusiella polymorpha subsp. punctata|Andalusiella polymorpha]]</I> subsp. <I>[[Andalusiella polymorpha subsp. punctata|punctata]]</I>; <I>[[Andalusiella mauthei]]</I>, according to [[Lentin and Williams, 1976|Lentin and Williams (1976]], p.149) - however, [[Lentin and Williams, 1977b|Lentin and Williams (1977b]], p.8) retained <I>[[Andalusiella mauthei]]</I>.&nbsp; Age: Maastrichtian.
