Originally Gonyaulacysta, subsequently Hystrichosphaeropsis, thirdly Rhynchodiniopsis?, fourthly Rhynchodiniopsis. Taxonomic senior synonym: Gonyaulax (as Hystrichogonyaulax) cladophora, according to Fisher and Riley (1980, p.320) and Kunz (1990, p.23). Age: Oxfordian–Kimmeridgian.
