<I><B>caytonensis</B></I> ([[Sarjeant, 1959]], p.330-332, pl.13, fig.1; text-fig.1) [[Sarjeant, 1969]], p.14.&nbsp; Holotype: [[Sarjeant, 1959]], pl.13, fig.1; text-fig.1.&nbsp; Originally <I>[[Gonyaulax caytonensis Appendix B|Gonyaulax]]</I> (Appendix B), subsequently (and now) <I>Meiourogonyaulax</I>, thirdly <I>[[Lithodinia caytonensis|Lithodinia]]</I>.&nbsp; This species is here retained in <I>Meiourogonyaulax</I> following the retention of the genus by [[Riding and Helby, 2001d|Riding and Helby (2001d]], p.81,83).&nbsp; This combination, as a questionable assignment, was not validly published in [[Sarjeant, 1966b|Sarjeant (1966b]], p.146), since that author did not fully reference the basionym.&nbsp; Age: Early Callovian.
