Holotype: Menéndez, 1965, pl.2, fig.6; pl.3, figs.18–20. NOW Enneadocysta?. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Oligosphaeridium?, thirdly Areosphaeridium, fourthly (and now) Enneadocysta?. Questionable assignment: Eisenack and Kjellström (1972, p.845). Taxonomic senior synonym: Hystrichosphaeridium (as Areosphaeridium) diktyoplokum, according to Eaton (1971, p.359) — however, Sarjeant (1981, p.115–116) retained Hystrichosphaeridium (as Areosphaeridium, now Enneadocysta?) dictyostilum.
