Originally Pterospermopsis (Appendix A), subsequently Pterospermella (Appendix A), thirdly Thalassiphora?, fourthly (and now) Whitecliffia. Taxonomic junior synonym: Hexagonifera perforata (name not validly published), according to Slimani (2001a, p.194). Age: Santonian.
